  After many years with my previous mechanic/shop, I switched to Alan Rice Automotive. My previous mechanic specialized in European cars. I wasn't sure if a more "general" mechanic, who worked on all types of vehicles, would be as good, but Alan has been GREAT! He has accurately diagnosed every problem the car has had, and fixed it quickly - providing me with a clear explanation as to what needed to be done and why. I have great confidence in his skills and honest assessment of what's happening with my car. I trust him and appreciate his soft-spoken demeanor. And, added to both these important qualities, his prices are very affordable (which is why I left my previous mechanic - I couldn't afford him anymore). I'd recommend Alan to anyone looking for a good, reliable place to take their car.
