  You have a single mother of three girls who belongs to your congregation and who's daughter I had to talk to about stealing when she took my grand baby's teddy bear (and right after I fed mom and the girls pizza and salad for dinner). I let that go because she gave my addicted son a ride home. Then this single mother asked to come visit my son and me and said her girls wanted to swim in my pool and she wanted to get away from her ex-husband. She said she could be supportive as she's like a "big sister and old friend" of my son's. I told her I was fighting with my son and she offered to take him to her house for a few weeks to give me a break. She showed up with her very, short shorts on and then took my son's childhood (and now my grandbabies') quilt that I had in my guest room. She told me "I don't have any blankets" and when I told her that the quilt had sentimental value to me she gave me her word that she would protect it and then bring it to me the following week. She left my son stranded in Santa Cruz where his drug triggers are and supposedly dropped his clothes and my quilt off at some random house. This is after I paid her $50 for gas and treated her and her children to meals out and a hotel room in San Francisco. I even offered to give her another $50 once she returns the blanket she took so that she could buy a blanket of her own. It meant more for her to keep it or throw it away then give what's rightfully mine back to me. Maybe you should start preaching about how other people might feel bad when people of your congregation steal and lie to them. Now I know where her 7 yr. old daughter learned that it's okay to steal from others without any care about how it hurts others.
